Voter Registration

Are you a U.S. citizen? Will you be at least 18 years old on or before the next election? Have you lived at your present address for at least 30 days? Then you are eligible1 to register to vote in New Jersey.

Registration is simple. Just get a copy of the Voter Registration Form, complete it, and send it to:

You can also get a copy of the form at the Branchburg Township Building or at any New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission (MVC) offices. For information about voter registration, call the Somerset County Board of Elections at (908) 231-7084.


 


Absentee Voting

If you are a registered voter, you may apply for an absentee ballot in any election for any reason, so their is not reason not to vote! Applications are available in the Township Clerk's Office or from the Somerset County Clerk's, or by clicking here. Mail or bring the completed form to:

Mail requests for an absentee ballot must be postmarked no later than seven (7) days BEFORE the election for which they are being requested. If delivered in person to the County Clerk's Office, Administration Building, Somerville, NJ, no later than 3:00 PM the day BEFORE the Election.

Polling locations are generally as shown below. However, they can change depending upon the type of election. If you are not sure where to vote, check the information on your sample ballot. Sample ballots are mailed out about a week in advance of an election to the address on file with the Somerset County Clerk.
